My Glory, My Story

This topic was inspired by a conversation that Karli had with Rev. Jessie Jackson. After receiving an award from Rainbow PUSH Coalition, Rev. Jackson pulled her to the side and gave her some encouraging words. What stood out is when he said, “Your glory comes from your story.” She repeated it to herself several times just as Rev. Jackson did and she agreed. Her glory does, in fact, come from her story.

I was honored to receive recognition from the Rainbow P.U.S.H. Coalition. According to Rev. Jackson, my glory comes from my story.

Karli confesses that she doesn’t know who she’d be had she not experienced adversity. She used to wonder how her story would’ve played out, but not anymore. Karli almost let other people write her story; one of shame, hopelessness, victimization, and embarrassment. Instead, she made a conscious choice to live life on her own terms and has written a story of love, joy, success, and overwhelming gratitude. Allow Karli to encourage you to write your own story and to recognize the glory that comes from your story.
