What started out as a simple therapeutic outlet later evolved into Karli’s passion. She first shared her story with small audiences curious about her scars. Over time she found herself booked at women’s workshops, schools, and church events. She’s delivered over 50 speeches and presentations she doesn’t plan on stopping. Some of her most noted talks were for organizations such as Valparaiso University, Loyola University Medical Center, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and her alma maters, Regina Dominican High School and DePaul University.
This must be the part when I describe how I jumped out of the trunk.
Women audiences, in particular, adore Karli because her style is like having a heart-to-heart with your best girlfriends. She might have you cracking up one minute about unwittingly walking around with one eyebrow and have you crying the next as she tearfully shares her experience being taunted and called the Bride of Chuckie. One thing for sure is you’ll leave inspired and grateful.
